- Students choreographing their own dance pieces.
- Students learning dance technique from various disciplines in dance.
- Students engaged in critical and creative thinking through observation, performance, and the process of creating a dance.
- Students making connections between dance and academic subjects including English/Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies.
- Dance engages the visual-spatial learner through dance observation.
- Dance engages the bodily-kinesthetic learner through movement exercises and choreography.
- Dance engages the musical learner through rhythm and timing in a dance work.
- Dance engages the interpersonal learner as there are many opportunities to work with other students such as choreographic projects as well as small group/partner assignments to review dance technique.
